The Recreation Department strives to meet Residents: Social, Emotional, Physical, Intellectual and Spiritual needs.
Recreation Coordinators provide one to one resident visits along with group participation as we get to know the resident and assess resident’s recreation needs. We gather information from the residents past along with present and current needs. An initial recreation assessment is completed within the first 6 weeks of admission.

A "Getting to know You" form is created for each Resident so staff can get to know past interests, hobbies, work and family life.
Families are welcomed by the recreation department as they help us get to know the resident in ways no one else can. We believe families are vital to helping assist the resident settle in and enjoy their new home.
We celebrate Resident birthdays, cultures, and all yearly celebrations.
We decorate the floors to remind the Residents of the time of year and to provide a pleasant atmosphere.
Outings into the community are planned according to Resident’s needs.
We have a roof top garden which provides a wonderful and quiet view of downtown. We garden and spend time enjoying the outdoors on the roof top weather permitting.
In house church services are offered covering Protestant and Roman Catholic faith.
We participate in end of life offering comfort for the residents and families. We continue to offer support to the resident. We will hold resident’s hand while offering words of comfort. Music is always available during this time for the resident. An end of life basket is provided for families to help during this difficult time.
